Our level one classes are suitable for beginners, for those who wish to practice a gentle form of Hatha yoga or more advanced students wishing to go back to basics.
We work slowly though many of the basic yoga asanas, teaching the essential points of alignment so you can safely explore and become familiar with postures. We explore the basic mechanics of breathing and linking asana to breath to detoxify, heal and rejuvenate the body.
You can expect a well-rounded class of standing postures, forward bends, gentle backbends and twists.
Modifications will be given and props used to assist students further. Basic pranayama (breath awareness) techniques are taught followed by a relaxation to absorb all the benefits of the practice.
Your body will be opened, toned and strengthened and you will leave class feeling calm, refreshed and energised!
I am now on maternity leave so will not be teaching throughout 2018.
