I am a keen runner originally attracted to yoga for fitness and to improve flexibility. I quickly learned that yoga can bring equanimity of mind as well as a release for tight hamstrings! I teach a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that is informed, creative and playful. I place a strong emphasis on correct alignment and personal assists to help each student get the most out of each session.
I have been practising yoga since 1998 and qualified with my Yoga Alliance teaching accreditation in early March 2011. My experience spans a broad range of styles and teachers, including Jivamukti, Iyengar, Bikram, Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. My initial teacher training was with Dr Elena Voyce of Teach Yoga Academy and I have studied with leading international teachers including Jason Crandell, Matthew Sandford, Kate Ellis and Françoise Freedman.
I am a registered Yoga Alliance Professional Teacher, Chartered Level 1.
